TIMES MADIUN, BUDAPEST – Marhadi, a lecturer of University of Riau who currently pursuing a doctoral program in Hungary, has been appointed as the Chairman of PPI Hungary (Indonesian Students Association Hungary) 2023-2024. Along with him, his deputy Fadhilla Adzani was also inaugurated by officials from the Indonesian Embassy in Budapest in March 2023.
In his speech, Ivan Hidayat, an official from the Indonesian Embassy in Budapest said that PPI Hungary has contributed to the adapting process for Indonesian students while they were studying in this foreign country.
Marhadi, a lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Riau, has previously served as the Coordinator of the Undergraduate Management Program at FEB UNRI. As for now he is pursuing his doctoral degree in this foreign country.
Being selcted at the chairman of the ocommunity he promised to optimize the potential of PPI Hungary's members in improving skills and competencies in both academic and non-academic fields.
"With the tagline 'Collaboration and Contribution,' I hope that all members of PPI Hungary can actively participate and contribute to advancing the PPI in the realm of international student organizations," he said.
Marhadi and Fadhilla Adzani received 97 percent of the votes in this election. Fadhilla Adzani is a student in the Msc in Business Development program at the University of Pécs Hungary.
The Next Programs of PPI Hungary
On this occasion, Fadhilla stated that future programs of the organization will prioritize aspects of togetherness, diversity, and intellectualism.
"Study and discussion programs, religious gatherings, family gatherings, and other flagship programs will be prioritized in the future management," she said.
Marhadi also hopes that international cooperation between universities in both countries will continue to increase. It will help to achieve international accreditation and targets for Key Performance Indicators for Higher Education in the field of cooperation with foreign universities.
The newly elected Chairman invites all members of the organization to actively participate and care while demonstrating their identity as tolerant Indonesian citizens.
"I hope that the research results and knowledge gained from this foreign country can be further developed when these students return to Indonesia in the future," Marhadi, the new chairman of PPI Hungary conveyed. (*)
